Although I had a love of music all the way through my life, it wasn’t until I got to university when I first started discovering the possibilites of what you can do with it. As documented elsewhere, I owe a lot to my good buddy Keith Hicc with whom I set up D.I.H. or Distorted in Hindsight and over time helped me build a great understanding of alternative and unusual music, my first solo project which ran alongside D.I.H. for quite some time was a little project called Theory Not Thought.

Although various tracks were included in a few various artists album and or various remix albums, over the period of early 1999 right to 2001, I recorded four little EPS which were simply called Light, Shadow, Darkness and Death all covered with tons of tiny, fragmented tracks which are covered in this collection, all released for the first time.

Reviewing this, not all of this were successful experiments that was for sure as I really didn’t know what I was doing there but the best of the tracks here had a slight ambient /experimental minimalism and a space that followed me in my later ambient project Seven Ages, the scatter shot noise of Sleeplessness and into my current project Ocean in a Bottle.
