Available for the first time since 2007 after being available on Eardose records originally, White is Part 2 of the second album by Distance.

After the bass and keyboards jamming against the rain with the first recordings, White was released as the first part of a homage to Sanjay Leela Bhanasali’s film black who Andy picked up the soundtrack in his local library and was spellbound by the textures in the music, resulting in him creating his own homage (with Tony departing the project halfway to live in Cambridge) with stuttering building locks of vocals and noise to build up a tapesdy that was completely different to everything to work they had done in Distance.

White, the companion album to Black was created at the same time to offer a softer, more soft broken ambient a white to the blackness of the first part of the album carrying the listener on a much softer and reflected journey than the darkness of Black.

For its 2021 re-release, Andy N has revisited the original recordings and as well as re-mastering them in his studio has re-edited the tracks to give them a fresh copy of painting and provide the audience with a more focused and sharper recording than what was available to him originally.
